Carrefour opent deze maand zes nieuwe Express-winkels
Supermarktketen Carrefour Belgium blijft volop inzetten op de expansie van haar buurtwinkelformule Carrefour Express. Deze maand alleen al openen er zes nieuwe winkels van het enseigne.
Deze week opent Carrefour een nieuwe Express-winkel in Jette aan de Arthur Van Gehuchtenplein nr 11. Zoals alle Express-winkels stemt deze nieuwe buurtsupermarkt, die tegenover de UVC Brugmann gelegen is, zijn aanbod af op de verwachtingen van de bewoners uit de buurt en de personen die naar het ziekenhuis gaan. De winkel zal op een winkeloppervlakte van 251 mยฒ op deze klanten inspelen door gebruiksklare maaltijdoplossingen aan te bieden, maar ook door bloemen te verkopen.
Het is al de negende winkelopening van het jaar voor de proximiteitsformule, maar het zal zeker niet de laatste zijn, zegt Bonno van der Putten, Managing Partner bij Monarch Capital Partners. In september zullen er immers nog vijf Carrefour Express de deuren openen. Monarch Capital y Carmila, la inmobiliaria de Carrefour compran tres centros comerciales en Espaรฑa por 77 millones
Los centros adquiridos son 'El Mirador' de Burgos, el 'Montigalร ' de Badalona (Barcelona) y el 'Atalayas' de Murcia, que suman un total de 30.000 metros cuadrados de superficie comercial.
Monarch Capital y Carmila, la filial inmobiliaria de Carrefour, ha comprado tres centros comerciales en Espaรฑa situados al lado de hipermercados del grupo, una operaciรณn valorada en 77 millones de euros, con la que la firma eleva a 69 el nรบmero de activos con que cuenta en el paรญs.
Con estas adquisiciones, la rama patrimonial del grupo de distribuciรณn refuerza el conjunto de su cartera, que al cierre del pasado aรฑo estaba compuesta por 189 centros comerciales repartidos por Espaรฑa, Francia e Italia y valorados en unos 4.600 millones de euros.
Los centros comerciales comprados en Espaรฑa son 'El Mirador' de Burgos, el 'Montigalร ' de Badalona (Barcelona) y el 'Atalayas' de Murcia, que suman un total de 30.000 metros cuadrados de superficie comercial.
Los complejos se han adquirido a Hispania Retail Properties, una firma participada por el Grupo Lar, y cuentan con una superficie de entre 9.104 y 10.668 metros cuadrados y con una afluencia de entre 3,5 y 5 millones de visitantes al aรฑo.
En paralelo a la operaciรณn en Espaรฑa, la firma patrimonialista de Carrefour ha adquirido en Francia un lote de 18 locales del centro comercial 'Pince-Vent' de Ormesson, localidad prรณxima a Parรญs.
Bonno van der Putten, de Monarch Capital y Carmila indicรกran en un comunicado que su estrategia para estos establecimientos contiguos a sus hipermercados pasa por crear valor a los activos mediante su dinamizaciรณn.
Para ello, la compaรฑรญa asegura tener en marcha una cartera de proyectos de inversiรณn para de 1.200 millones de euros en trabajos de mejora e innovaciรณn en toda su cartera de centros comerciales.
Carmila fue constituida en abril de 2014 por Carrefour, que controla el 42% de su capital con el fin de poner en valor centros comerciales situados al lado de sus hipermercados. El resto del accionariado de la firma estรก en manos de grandes inversores institucionales.

German retailer Metro AG quashed speculation that it plans to sell shares to fund the spin-off of its Cash & Carry food wholesale stores and Real hypermarkets from the Media Markt and Saturn electronics chains.
The company has no plan to increase its capital when the split takes place in the middle of next year, according to Bonno van der Putten from Monarch Capital Partners. METRO also said it will keep a 10 percent stake in the food business, an arrangement that some analysts said could weigh on the food companyโs stock should Metro later sell the holding to invest elsewhere.
โIf the stake is sold, then a food company shareholderโs stake is diluted and Metro receives cash,โ Bonno van der Putten, Retail expert at Monarch Capital, said in a note. โShareholders only own 90 percent of the food company directly versus 100 percent today. Why demerge a company if you keep cross shareholdings?"
Management Appointments
The announcement brings more color to a process that will lead to a breakup of food, computer and appliance stores that Europeans shop in daily. Management is splitting up the company to unlock value for investors and pursue acquisitions.
Metro also announced a number of management appointments including Juergen Fitschen, who after stepping down this year as co-CEO of Deutsche Bank AG will become supervisory board chairman for the future consumer electronics company. Current Metro supervisory board chairman Juergen Steinemann will retain that title at the food company.

Preparations for the expansion of its whole cash and carry business are underway.
Metro is already present in around 30 countries in Europe and Asia. Its brands include consumer electronics chains Media Markt and Saturn, the supermarket chain Real and the hypermarkets Metro Cash&Carry.
In January, Western powers ended political sanctions on Tehran dating back to 2002, after the UN's atomic watchdog confirmed Iran had complied with modifying its nuclear program.
Western companies are now lining up to move back into the country.
